Micheline Mooney R.M.

Hello! My name is Micheline and I am a graduate of the Midwifery program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). My pronouns are she/her. I am honoured to be a part of the team here in Kitchener.
My journey to Midwifery began over a decade ago when I was preparing to give birth for the first time. At that time, two things became clear to me. Firstly, I wanted to have a relationship with the people who would guide me through the transformational experience of pregnancy and birth. Secondly, I believed passionately in the power of birth and its unique place in the lives of individuals, families and communities. And so began my love affair with Midwifery!
Following those initial insights, I left my career in the post-secondary school system, and began my pursuit of Midwifery education. This journey has included working in Cambridge, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph & Sarnia.
I am currently a proud member of the Disability Equity Committee, on behalf of the Association of Ontario Midwives, and enjoy attending professional conferences whenever & wherever I can.
Outside of Midwifery, I enjoy yoga, cooking & eating, film festivals and good, strong coffee! I am also a parent to four authentic kids who were all born into the hands of midwives.
I feel privileged to be here and look forward to meeting each of you!!
