I was first introduced to midwifery care through my mother who chose home births for my two youngest siblings. Birth as an experience of home and family stayed with me into adulthood.

Before pursuing midwifery I received a Bachelor of Arts followed by a Master of Library and Information Science and worked in both academic and public libraries. My passion for facilitating equitable access to information and advocating for choice in pregnancy and birth stems from my work in librarianship, as well as the midwifery-led care I myself have received.

Outside of my studies, you’ll find me with my spouse and two kiddos gardening, listening to audiobooks, knitting and, sewing.
I’m so looking forward to spending my senior year with KWMA and am truly grateful for those who welcome me to be a part of their family’s journey along the way.
